Lifecycle of the Great Crested Newt

Eggs are laid on the leaves of water plants. The female folds the
leaves over to conceal them.
2 3 weeks
3 6 weeks. The front legs develop first, unlike frogs
in which the back legs develop first.
4 10 weeks
5 1 year
6 Adult male, 2 - 4 years, in breeding condition. Up
to 150mm long.
